Default Corvette in Italy!

Moved to Italy las september to play soccer.

Unfortunatly I had to leave my baby in the garage back in CA.

I have been living here in Perugia since then. Never see many American or powerful looking cars. If I ever see any nice cars; I will usually see some kind of Porsche or BMW. For the most part its little Fiats, or Vespas.

Anyways, 3 days ago I saw the first Corvette since I have been here.Looked like a 2001-3 Silver Coupe. Stock.

Deffinatly made me smile and feel like I was home again.Just thought I'd share.

I don't know how you've been getting by without your Vette. I can't go a day without driving mine! It is always nice to see other Vettes, especially when you don't have yours with you. Good luck playing soccer!

Try playing some soccer in Holland....you'll be smiling all day. There are a few corvette clubs around here AND all the american power on wheels you can imagine. The american car scene is growing and growing over here. From 50's and 60's cars, hot rods, corvette, chargers, camaro's and firebirds...you name it...we got it.

Great pictures Erik! I was surprised by the different old American cars that are there. Maybe I should put some my old rolling stock into a container and send it to you...

I know just how you feel. I never see any Vettes in England so not much waving going on

I have one big avantage though. I can open the garage door and see a Mag Red Vert. Get that Vette shipped over

Nice to see something that brings back good memories. Might want to consider bringing your car over there.

Thanks for the pics. I guess the front plate law is strictly enforced there. I noticed the C6 Z, with a front plate/sticker on the nose. What octane gas is available over there?

I've spent a total of about 6 months in Italy over the past 2 years and have driven many miles on the autostrada. I always wanted some exotic to fly past me and blow the little fiat punto that I was driving off of the road. The only car that passed me in excess of 120mph was a Dodge Viper and it had to be going about 150 mph. Oh, and I also saw a Chevell SS.

You would make a lot of money for sure.....

Front and rear plates must be visible at all times....but are not always that visible..

We have octane 91,95 and 98...

Some pics from the last corvette meeting.
