A guy at my job has a V and he is a professional race car driver, and I raced him in my c5(just a few little mods) and I smoked him badly.

I have. Both drivers are fairly experienced. Results--- Stock CTS-V= 13.85 C5= 13.40 Nuff said.

I owned both and the CTS-V felt quicker with me driving it than the C5 but that's probably the difference in the 3.73 vs 3.42 rear end. The V is a quick car but does weigh more than the C5.

I took a friend in his CTS-V with my lightly modded TransAm (on a closed course
). My stock vette feels way quicker. All were automatics.
You should have no problem, but it will only be by a car length at best.

I went to vegas and went to the GM experience and drove both a vette and the cadi and I will tell you that the cadi has some real speed. I couldnt say which was faster they were so close.
