Therefore there was no reprogramming done to mine. They just removed the column lock and put in the relay. I watched. So far Ive drove it almost a 1000 miles with know problems.
Does the "NEW" relay harness still keep the actuator in the circuit, so you hear the actuator cycle when the ignition is turned on and off?
I would be curious to know if GM now just connects a relay and leaves the actuator disconnected like the aftermarket CLB works.

Hey Tex, Im the one that e-mailed you a week or two ago. To ask you some questions also. But the answer to your question is yes the actuator is in the picture. But it dosnt matter if that fails or not now, as there is no lock in the column. But if the relay fails im going to assume you will get the fuel shut off thing, which will happen with the clb also. But like I said mine had not had any of the previous recalls so it was never flashed then, and it wasnt flashed with the new recall. So I dont know what would happen if the relay failed. May just get the column lock message on my dic, but since its never been flashed I dont think I would get the fuel shutoff. I guess Ill never find out unless the relay fails.........

Does anyone have a [B]quick, easy[B] way for me to get around this fuel shutoff problem, so I can drive it to the dealer, instead of having it flatbedded? I understand that I need to get the CLB, but I want to be able to drive it now.
