Default tire question

I am thinking about getting a wheel and tire package but have questions about getting a set without TPMS. I am interested in going with the z06 sizes, and have seen some pretty good packages out there, but they obviously don't have TPMS. what kind of code will I get if I run a new package without TPMS? Will the dash constantly flash, or will I just not have a reading on the tires? trrying to determine the easiest and best bang for the buck. thanks.

You can run it without the TPMS. I dont remember which years but certain years you can clear the code so it never shows up again, the earlier years, again I dont know which ones, you cannot clear the code so it will always show to "Service TPMS". Im sure someone else will chime in soon.

You will get a message that pops up on the DIC every time you start the car up - pressing reset will make it go away until you start it up again. IMO, go ahead and get the sensors too - they offer a sense of security when driving so you know when the tire pressure is getting low.

Just buy a Z06 wheel package that is TPMS compatible and either change over your sensors or buy a new set. If your profile is accurate you have a'99. Since the life of the batteries in the sensor averages 7 years you are about due for new ones anyway.

Nate@Corvettegarage is a supporting vendor and had great deals last year when I bought mine... great price, great service, TPMS compatible

Replace the TPMS - I did when I installed my 2004 Z06 rims on my 2000. Shop around the supporting vendors and choose one that meets your needs.
