My 02 Z06 is making a clicking noise from the front left, not real noticeable when wheel is straight, but when the wheel is turned a little to a full lock there is a ticking noise comming from the wheel area, sounds like when a half shaft starts going bad in a front wheel drive car. Car has 36K miles on it. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
I have the same problem and I've talked to my vette mechanic about it and we've decided it's the pads (or somethign close to them) clicking in the rotors. He'd never heard it before I complained, then he installed some new drilled and slotted rotors on another Z and that guy came back two days later complaining of the same problem.
It's really annoying and makes your car sound like it's broken when you're turning in a parking garage...but if it's cuz i have those nice rotors i'll live with it

Is it possible to be bearings? I am not familiar with the bearings in these cars. Are they similar to the ones in my 70. It may be just time to inspect/repack the bearings or replace them.
It was the slider pins on the calipers. They were dry and you could push on the caliper and it would start clicking. Cleaned and greased and all is well.
If you hear this noise also check to make sure your lug nuts are properly torqued. I have heard a similar noise on a car that didn't have properly torqued lugs
