Default Weird DIC message...

I had my 2000 Vert at the dealership today getting a squeak in the motor fixed (turned out the crankshaft balancer needed to be replaced). A few minutes after I pulled out of the dealership and got a mile or so away I got a weird message on the DIC that read "Active Handling Warming Up." Of course I immediately called the service manager and informed him of the message. He stated he never heard of that one before, but he would take care of the problem if it did not go away on it's own. He also mentioned that the work they did shouldn't have had anything to do with the problem. He thought that the system might have just needed to recalibrate itself since the battery had been unhooked and suggested I turn the car off and back on and drive it for a bit to see if it went away. It did not. As I continued to drive home, the problem only seemed to get worse. The message changed from the above, to Service Active Handling and Service Vehicle Soon. Needless to say I am frustrated.

Sorry for the long post, but has anyone else heard of this issue? Thanks for any input you may have.

The "Active Handling Warming Up" message is nothing to worry about. If you start your car and immediately turn the wheels and drive you will get the message. You will recieve a message after that saying "Warm Up Complete". Now the other messages are a different story. Could be several things. When I got those messages I had to replace my ABS computer. Others have had different experinces where as the ABS sensor was loose and just needed to be snapped back into place. Im sure others will chime in with their experiences.

The active handling warming up message is nothing to be concerned about. Hopefully the other message is a simple fix.

Funny, I got the same message just last week, within a few minutes I received another message that said "Warm up complete".
