As long as you still have one key, it's not a difficult task. I'd try to stay away from the dealer unless you want to pay an arm and a leg (and possibly your first born). There are plenty of places to order new keys and fobs online, like GMpartshouse.com, etc...others may chime in.
You will have to measure the resistance across the pellet in the key to know the correct VATS number to order (http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...ht=vats+chart). If you have an ohms meter it's a very quick and easy measurement, or I'm sure your local hardware store can help you. Once you have the correct key, a good locksmith will be able to cut it for you.
Pairing a new fob to the car is pretty simple as well, it's done through the DIC--instructions are in the car's manual or online in the forum.
FOBs can be gotten on eBay. I got 2 for 2003 for $27.00, Dealer wanted $90 each. Take your remaining key to the dealer and get them to read what resistance your key is and then order it from one of the Corvette after market places. When the key arrives, take it anyware and have them cut it. You can also reprogram the new FOB.
Once you know the VATS number you can buy a GM key blank on eBay...
I used vendor locksmithsource $5.50 for the key blank...
$2 to get it cut at a local locksmith... http://myworld.ebay.com/locksmithsource
