Default FROST KING.....Do A Search

This subject has been beat to death on this forum. But hey, if you're a new guy here, it's a question that needs answering.

All I can tell you is that I've:

1. Done the FROST KING modification to my ENTIRE interior (2000 FRC)
2. Replaced Run-Flats with Goodyear regular rubber.
3. Installed a cabin partition (between cargo and cabin areas).

The difference is enormous. The vehicle is extremely normal (quiet) now. I couldn't carry on a conversation with a passenger before the above mods. Now I can.

As I said in the title....do a search for "Frost King". Frost King is duct insulation sold in various stores (Lowe's for instance). Easy to work with and inexpensive.

Caution....if you try to go the cheap route (a little insulation in the cargo area) or lazy route (only doing a portion of the interior) you will not correct the problem. Do the ENTIRE vehicle with FROST KING or another insulation specific for the job. That way it is complete and done properly. You'll be amazed at the results.

The main source of road noise I had was the Goodyear run flats. I went to Michelin Pilot Sport A/S run flats and most of the noise went away. I also cut some 3 1/2" thick fiberglass bats into pieces that fit in the three rear compartments (doubled so that I ended up with 7" thick pads) and placed them in plastic bags taped up so that I can remove them without handling the raw fiberglass and not having to worry about loose fiberglass strands floating around the inside of the car.

Default Road Noise

I appreciate the info. The tires are New Good Year Eagles that had just been put on car when I purchased it. I will probably run them a while then change. I build some some street rods, and have some insulation so I will try to take your sugestions and do that first.
Thanks again, Yeates 1
