Push in the small tabs with a small screwdriver and pull outward but be careful, the tabs can break! I broke two of mine and had to replace the frame. GM list price $57!!!

Thanks for the info in removing frame to change plate. It works.
I talked to 3 different Chevy service depts with 2 not knowing and
1 giving the wrong info.

When I picked up my vette, no less than 6 dealership mechanics stood around the back trying to figure out how to take it off. Finally, the service manager knew the procedure.
On a side note, I don't think I'm getting any work done there.
