Some people think memorial day is just a day off work or a fun day but it is more then that it is a day to remember all the men and women in the services who have fought for this counrty and all who have lost their lives fighting for this country so that we can be free.God Bless all our service men and women through out the world and may they all come back home safe and sound to our United States.lets get this war over so no more lives are lost.God Bless America

Well stated. Too many folks (I'm the only flag other than one widow on our street) think only of parades, Bar B Ques, fire works and the such and don't even KNOW what the Memorial Day holiday (used to be called Decoration Day, to "decorate" the war graves) is all about. And especially in these days that we are in AGAIN, that's a shame. Mark Nopler (Dire Straits) said it well in the song "Comrades in Arms."

My family and I celebrate the fact that our military heroes make all our other heroes possible everday! God bless those who serve to protect the rest of us, past, present and perhaps most important, FUTURE!
My wife and I were out this afternoon and bumped into a vet taking donations at the local Walmart. We gave a donation and received a small red poppy. Just our way of saying thank you!
We owe these folks the freedom we enjoy today. God bless...

Just past sundown in Norman, OK. My front yard 7/24/365 colors went back up from sunrise half-staff to the top. New spotlite bulb installed just to make sure it shines thru tonite,,,of all nites. We change out our 4' x 6' flag every year on the 4th of July whether it needs it or not. The survivor condition flags are either hung in my garage or stored for special occassions. God Bless the men and women that God Blessed us with who gave all for the rest of us!
