These are awesome wheels... they really are very good looking. Has anyone got any knowledge of the CRAY wheels? They're also supposed to be good, and specially made for Corvettes only.
Please elaborate. Are these adaptors that center the wheel onto the hub assembly to remove any play between the two? How do I know what ring to get?
viper8u2 explained it pretty well. They manufacture the wheels with a larger center bore to expand the variety of cars the wheels will be able to fit rather than restricting fitment due to the center bore being too small for a certain car. In other words "universal" not made specifically for one car or model. If you don't get the hub centric rings from discount find someone who distributes Topline products you will have good results there. http://www.tradeunion.com/ToplinePro...ubcentric.html
Still havent even got my car yet but here I am contemplating buying wheels already lol.
If I do go with the Ruff's my main concern is the wheels in the front sticking out a little outside of the fenders.
All your guys' cars look great, but I really dont want my front wheels sticking out at all.
Do you suppose if I got them with a +38mm offset that that would make a difference?
Judging from Viper8u2's car IMO the 45mm sits perfect in the back, Im hoping +38s in the front give or take (thats what one vendor said they had) and 45mm's in the rear may be my ticket?
Do you guys know how many different offset these wheels are made in? Also does backspacing come into play here?
I called a dealer and was told the rears are a 45mm offset and the fronts are a 35mm offset. He said if you stick with no larger than 255's in front and 285's in the rear you wont have a problem with fitment. He did reccomend going with the stock sizes but told me you can go 1 size larger but thats it. So there shouldn't be any tire hanging over. Also the rims are 8.5 in front and 9.5 in the rear.
I am going to get a pair of rims from them and get 18's in front 19's in the rear. Also just a tip.....Costco sells tires and can order almost anything. They gave me prices for BFG's that were only $5.00 more per tire than Tire Rack. Plus you don't have to pay for shipping! (and their price for five bucks more included mounting and balancing.....A good deal!

bunch of pics in this thread, judge for yourself, I am totally fine with the offsets, but I did go 45mm all the way around, I think the smaller offset (35mm) would stick out more
