I've had my 2001 Z06 for 2 weeks now. I decided I wanted to do a bit of maintinance since it is at 44K miles and I don't know when the previous owner did it last.
Done:
Sway bars: bushings greased
Tires: New Firestone Wide Ovals in stock sizes. Car will be street driven 99% of the time.
Oil: 7qt of Amsoil 5w30 and Amsoil filter
Transmission: ~4qt of Royal Purple Synthetic ATF (Dexron III)
To Do:
Rear end: Either Amsoil or Royal Purple
Coolant: ??? -- Need to look up
Clutch fluid: going to do Rangers method
Brake Fluid: ??? -- Need to look up
Anything else I am missing maintinance wise? Hoses and belts look good. Brakes are at about 80%. I am going to seafoam before the next oil change. The car runs great and I am more impressed with it every day.
Tomorrow, it will get a good bath. I need to have the car buffed out though, black + swirl marks =
Other than what you did I would do a top end clean before you changed the oil and installed a catch can right after. Also don't forget the fuel filter.
Did the trans. shift better after the fluid change ?
Just wondering
It seems a bit smoother. I think it was worth it.

I'll get a fuel filter this week. Who has the best catch can? I think I will clean the TB too.
