Last Tuesday night I went out and pulled the trigger on a 2004 coupe.
I have been looking for some time for just the right car.
I admit that I am one picky son of a gun.
This car was as close as you can get to being new. Not a mark on her.
She was a garage Queen all right. The owner even had special shoes that he wore when he took his baby out for a spin.
She is an Arctic White coupe with both tops, and all the goodies. I looked at this car last fall just as the weather was getting raw. I talked about buying it but didn't pull the trigger back then. He wouldn't let the car out of the garage so we couldn't take it out for a test drive since the weather was bad. I truly understood, so I waited. The winter weather turned my wait into months, but it gave me time to look around and read up on all kinds of things.
Last week I call and said the weather is good, let me take a look. So my buddy and I went over last Sunday and looked her over.
My heart ran wild as we drove it around and looked her all over. I knew she was the one for me.
So, last Monday it was off to see my Insurance Agent and I pulled my money from the bank and on Tuesday night I went over and took my new baby home. My kids went wild as I drove up to the house, as they don't know what we had done.
I have been out every night that the weather has been good here in Syracuse, (NY). We get home from work, change the clothes and it is off for a spin.
Thursday night my buddy and I took the vettes with our ladies and grabbed a bite to eat. Then it was off to the local Car Rally at the Marketplace and enjoyed a couple of hours of relaxation with other car buffs.
Life doesn't get much better then this my friends. By the way I turned "Fifty" yesterday and my new baby just turned 3,400 miles last night after yesterdays ride around the lake. I figure that we can grow old together.
Pictures will follow, once I find the time. Thanks for letting me ramble. It will be tuff working all day knowing that my baby is waiting for me and the sun is shinning so nice.
Weclome, Steve! I too got my C5 for my birthday (59th). Been grin'n ever since! Mine too is Arctic White. Here are a few other members who have white cars: White List
