I know you are supposed to drive 30-40 miles between 50 and 60 mph for the computer to learn the new airflow right? There is no issue with going out for half of that drive, coming back and then going out again another day right? Right now I don't have the time to take a 40 mile drive (and don't really want to with the lovebugs) but I did take the car out for about 30 minutes tonight (probably about 10 minutes of which was spent between 50- and 60) so will the computer just keep adjusting until I do the whole 30-40?? Just wondering. Finally got my new wheels/tires on and lowered the front and back so I had to take it out for a quick spin
To be honest I couldn't really tell...although I wasn't really driving too aggressively (had my 4 year old with me). Also I just added some more weight to the car in the replica Z06 motorsport wheels I put on so hopefully that didn't take away any performance gain
I did the recommended trip to reset the computer. I noticed a difference right away. however, lately, it seems that the car doesn't shift right( it's an A4). somtimes it goes in and out and seems to be hunting for the right gear. Another member who has the Vararam and a TC install suggested that I need a tune to correct this and get the shift points right. I'm going back and forth about getting 3.42's for the rear, so i haven't gotten a tune yet. I'm not getting any codes, but it is something for you to be aware of if this happens with you.

I put in the 3.42 with the Vararam in my A4 and it took EG giving it a tune to finally get everything syncronized!
It was hitting the rev limiter all the time and had a heck of a time finding gears. no problems now!
