Installed a tunnel plate and now I get a cracking noise if the car is sitting there. It happens whether the car is hot or cold (sitting in garage for a while). It happens at random and if the weight is shifted (me getting into the car for example).
Havent climbed under the car yet (at work now) but was wondering if anybody has experienced this before? I should mention I also put on z06 springs at the same time but I'm pretty sure it is coming from directly under the shifter area, where the tunnel plate is.
Edit, forgot to finish the title- it should say 'strange crackling noise!"

Hey Eric...
Is it the plate cooling off crackling sound?
Also, make sure you go back and check the bolts after a little while. I know they're supposed to be tightened in some sequence, but I had one get loose shortly after I installed mine... the plate shifted a little...
