I have been on the forum for around a month, or less.
I have also been on the z06Vette forum, about a week longer...or less.
The ONGOING battle over "WHICH intake produces the most gain?".
Is a ballbuster.............
How about some FACTS.........( Dyno Tests).....not hyperbole, and SOTP, I think.....
Consider the following.....using only the intakes as an indicator, all else bone stock......
WHICH one..........is the hands down winner?
There has got to be ONE, that is far superior to others..........gotta be......
Anyone wanna play??
I will play, I have the 50 dollar K&N replacemet filter in the stock box. So far there hasen't been any other higher priced system runing better on the same track and day with me, so if it's looks your after there are some choices, but I haven't seen the preformance on the track to warrent the expence or the higher exposer to weather hazard. IMHO Ric
Re: I'm on OVERLOAD........HELP....... (Power Shifter)
Ric, thanks.........you and Ranger, are in rarified air..........
I would like to ask you a question, and would hope you would try it.....
Question, "Why not TRY a Vortex, or a Sidewinder, or similar set up"........
With your near perfect techniques, this would be a GREAT test to SEE if there REALLY IS a difference........you running against someone else with a modded air set up, is NOT a good indicator( they are not as skilled as you).....IF you did the comparison, THEN we would definitely know for sure.......think about it...... :yesnod:
I would be happy to do a comparison test, but I personaly do not want to go to the expence of buying any of the available systems. Our track closes this week for the winter so if I want to do any more runs this season I would have to travel south. I do take my vette out in the winter so I would have to switch back to the stock cover for my owen peace of mind anyway. I will probably be at least picking up an 02 cover. If anyone want's to "donate" any system I would be happy to post the results, pro or con, I would be HAPPY to pay for one that showed a significant gain in performance. Ric
Re: I'm on OVERLOAD........HELP....... (Power Shifter)
Ric, I took the liberty of contacting one of the PRIMO vendors, and we will see if he takes the bait................ :yesnod: :yesnod: :yesnod: :flag
I would definitely like to see you be the first to bust 11.xx.....with a basic '01 stocker.......it will IN MHO, be you or Ranger......just a matter of time........ :chevy
