I've got #165 of the 2,025 here...one thing for sure, you won't be sneaking into many parking lots!

Great deal on the '01 Z, someone should snap that up quick!

As this thread has turned into a Z16 reunion thread of sorts I just wanted to ensure everyone knows about the Z16 CE logo floormats that are now available. I received mine in the mail today and am VERY pleased. Here is a photo and a link to the post over on the Z16 site.

Beautiful cars everyone, from a NON Z16 owner! Jetz> Great stance, awesome looking car!
I have had my Z about 7 weeks now. Yesterday is the first time I really looked at a stock one. Man, did it have a 3" lift kit on it, or what?

Don't worry about what anybody else says you paid for it. You got a nice car to be proud of.
I went to www.z16.org and ran the VIN for you...
From your VIN #128641 (last six), your sequence number is 1,450 out of 2,025.
This means your car was the 1450th Z16 Z06 to come off the line at the Bowling Green Assembly Plant.
It looks like you're missing the tire inflation kit from the trunk and maybe the car has been lowered a bit. You can find the kit from this member selling them in the CF classifieds if the seller doesn't have it.

The MCM hood looks amazing on the CE! After seeing a few MCM hoods down at Cruise In, it's next on the mod list for my Torch Red Z.

Thank you hotwheels, I am in the navy deployed overseas right now in africa. I am coming home in 2 months and the seller has agreed to hold the car on his floor till i get home. I am putting this car in the Mackinaw City Michigan Corvette show this August and taking it to my high school 10 year reunion. I just registered on Z16org.com I asked the seller about the inflation kit. Hopefully he comes up with it, if not, how much are they? Im not going to take the kit out of my 2001 before I sell it, thats not how I do business. I have a pending sale on my 2001 Z right now.

Just a little advice I'm asking for? my wife is very very uspet with me right now about me buying another vette and I didnt even get a chance to tell her about it on the phone. HaHa oh well

It does look lowered? Is that a good or bad thing?

Tom

The link that I gave you above (and below) has a CF member selling brand new inflation kits for only $150 plus $10 shipping...that's a good deal!
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...post1560499722
Regarding the car being lowered or not and whether it's good or bad, that's up to you. My Z16 is at original height and I'll probably leave it that way. Some like their cars lowered and some don't.
It's not really that the car sits to high, it's that the C5/Z06/Z16 has such large wheel openings. From the images I saw on that EBAY link you provided, it looks like your (sounds good, huh) sits a little lower than mine.
Try it, if you don't like the ride or potential for hitting curbs and snakes, you can always raise it back up.

Tomseal6,
..Seal Team 6? Congratulations on getting what looks to be a very clean Z16 for a very good price. I do not have a Z16 but I do think it is a very special car.

Dang, how did I miss this thread?! Congrats Tom!

You will NOT be disappointed .. Don't sweat it being lowered; I understand it is a simple mod, easy to reverse. If you're not scraping your driveway, I'd say leave it. Mine's stock height but it's my personal pref.. lots of Vettes are lowered, thanks to the mod being that easy.

Don't worry about the wife either.. lots of Vette owners swap them out, due to the mod being that easy

(Shout out to all Stripesville peeps! )
