only for the rich idiots... never heard of it myself and dont care to at all... buy a friggin new zo6 and spend the xtra 10-15k on something actually worth it... most pple that work at dealerships are morons... i cant tell you how many pple i know from high school who dont get any college education (besides the fact that they were idiots in high school) all the sudden end up a car salesman... and personally if you buy a brand new car i thing your an idiot... but putting that aside if you have more money than brains than go ahead... you'll have the coolest $110,000 average vette
also I don't know how many of you have bought your vette from a stealership but I have found that both times I bought mine, I was telling the salesman what was what! I knew 10 times more about the vette than any guy in there...even the "Corvette Specialist Sales Manager".

Yeah.......well......please don't take this personally.......but...........if YOU don't buy it you do not get screwed.
And why is it if some fool is found willing to be parted with his money that we say he is getting screwed? Because we'd like to have that thing but are unwilling to pay that price?
Last I checked, America was a capitalist country thriving because of a free market. Smart people vote with their wallets. When no one shows up to buy that car for that price the dealership will lower the price. And when they go low enough someone else will step up to buy it.......but there will still be people who don't understand free-market economics who will say they were getting screwed.
Sorry to rant but sometimes I can't help myself.
A Ferrari F430 has an MSRP new from Ferrari of about $190k. You can NOT buy one on Ebay for less than @ $230k USED!. The market sets the price, just like it does with real estate, gasoline, milk, etc. Just curious, how many CF members took an econ class in college?
Oh, and by the way, just becuase the dealer is asking $99k for a car, doesn't it mean they won't sell it for less. You just have to be a person who can actually buy the car, and offer a realistic price for it, given current market conditions.

What a joke
Perhaps you should sell Corvettes then. IF you're so knowledgeable about them, I'm sure you would be great at it, and if you are, you'll make more money then you make doing web design.
There are dealerships and stealerships. Sadly, most of these high pressure ridiculous markup dealers are Chevy (*coughBillHeardcough*) or Ford... who make the best affordable performance vehicles IMO.
The local Lexus, Toyota, and Honda dealers have far more honest fair business practices, at least here in Houston... and we wonder why they're doing so well.
Every dealer deserves to make a profit, like any business does, but I hope they know that they aren't getting any business from people with sense. Honestly, I wish more manf's would take the Mini, Saturn, and Scion approach and find a reasonable price and fix it.
Its so much easier comparing cars when you know what the ACTUAL price is, not having to fight with some shark for five hours to figure out what your walk-out-the-door price truly is... and much more friendly when your salesman is your friend since you're not fighting with him about the cost of the car.

Don't bet on it! "A fool and his money are soon parted." Dealers know there are plenty of fools out there.
SAD BUT TRUE. Stealerships have a "Well Earned Reputation", they are truly one of the "Bottom Feeders" in the business world. It's not just the added markup over MSRP that makes a dealership a stealership, it's the cheezy way they handle day to day business as well. I think what pisses us off most is that a cheezy salesman/manager has control over price on something we want, whether it's a Silverado or a Corvette. Happy Motoring
