My buddy was at Tomball Parkway Chevy in Houston and saw 2 vettes that were there and they were $99,000.. Is there a new type of Z that is out there? Just wondering what it is. He didn't have a clue about it. He bought a G-35.
Were they white with red hash marks on the fenders? If so, they are Ron Fellow Z06s. They are about $80,000 and the dealers are marking them up. A dealership here in Tulsa was asking $110,000 for theirs.

This car was built to honor Ron Fellows - one of the best professional corvette drivers ever. It is a limited production (399 units being built - 300 for the US, 33 for Canada, and 66 for the rest of the world) signed car. That in mind, some of the stealerships out there think they can screw the corvette buyer by adding a bunch of money to the MSRP. Fortunately, most buyers are smart enough not to fall for this BS. Parkway Chevy will probably be sitting on these cars for a while if they don't get real with their asking price.

Limited edition this time with only 399 total produced and the stealerships trying to get lots of extra bucks and I hope buyers hold out and not take the bait

Don't bet on it! "A fool and his money are soon parted." Dealers know there are plenty of fools out there.
only for the rich idiots... never heard of it myself and dont care to at all... buy a friggin new zo6 and spend the xtra 10-15k on something actually worth it... most pple that work at dealerships are morons... i cant tell you how many pple i know from high school who dont get any college education (besides the fact that they were idiots in high school) all the sudden end up a car salesman... and personally if you buy a brand new car i thing your an idiot... but putting that aside if you have more money than brains than go ahead... you'll have the coolest $110,000 average vette
Ok maybe there is another reason for the 99K vettes.
1. The 99K was the price for both cars.
2. The guy who saw the price is dyslexic & the price was really 66K.
3. The dealership was just kidding everyone.
4. The guy who saw the price had just left the eye doctor after having an eye exam & his eyes were still dilated.
5. Where was a minor earthquake & it turned the $$ tag signs upsidedown.
6. A kid was playing around at the dealership while his mommy & daddy were trying to get financing on the new minivan for them & the 5 kids running around changing the price on all the cars.
7. I just realized that I have no life & therefore I am sitting here typing this useless reply to a somewhat useless thread.

Just another good 'ole dealership doing their thing...screwing people!!!!!!!!
Yeah.......well......please don't take this personally.......but...........if YOU don't buy it you do not get screwed.
And why is it if some fool is found willing to be parted with his money that we say he is getting screwed? Because we'd like to have that thing but are unwilling to pay that price?
Last I checked, America was a capitalist country thriving because of a free market. Smart people vote with their wallets. When no one shows up to buy that car for that price the dealership will lower the price. And when they go low enough someone else will step up to buy it.......but there will still be people who don't understand free-market economics who will say they were getting screwed.
