Oh yeah,
Here is a site to check out, for someone who went from a C5 back to a Formula. Not only is she cute, but a mechanic as well and has one of the best gear swap walk-throughs I've seen.
I kind of know what your sayin. I had a mint 95 Z28 before the Vette. Sometimes its nice being able to park your car anywhere and not be worried sick about it, like I am now. Or even in the rain Also, the cost of modding is a little cheaper, just a little But all in all, I am definatly happier with the Vette. You cant really compare the two cars. Parked side by side, the Camaro looked like a toy compared to the Vette. If I was you, I would try to find a Camaro like you used to have and park next to it with your Vette. TRUST ME, you will have a new appreciation
I feel what your saying because i miss my 02 sunset orange formula, because I had it for years and it was a 12.5 car. Plus it was much cheaper to mod. So my only question is, what in god name are you smoking!!!!! ITS A VETTE!!

Nothing wrong with being a fan of a car other than a Corvette. If you truly enjoy owning a Camaro, then by all means pursue your passion. There have been plenty of people here that have sold their Vettes for some other car.
You are young and emotional. It's like comparing your old car with an old love. Let it go. Move on. Someday you'll be able to own a Camaro and a Vette or whatever your little heart desires.
I still miss my Magnacharged Toyota Tacoma 4x4 (guy I sold it to rolled it)... so I hear ya.
But there is no replacing the vette... apples and oranges. I'd never sell it.
Loved my 4x4 Tacmoa too! Some 20 year old kid totaled it out on me 3-4 weeks ago with his '99 Audi. I thought about going out and getting a C4 ... But I guess I really wanted another pickup. So, went out and got another Tacoma on Monday ... to go with the '69 Camaro, the '68 Chevelle and the C5 too! Each of them have there own little fun niche.
I have one of each at the moment and theres no way the camaro compares to the vette. I love fbody's and it was a great 1st car but once i got in the vette theres no comparison. It has to be snowy or raining to get me back in the camaro...
I would take a camaro if it were a pristine 1968!
Would still keep the vette though.
GoodGuys Car Show starts tomorrow in Pleasanton Ca. I'm planning on going and checking out just that.... a 1968 Camaro or a 67. Now....if i find one, will I buy it. You bet!!! Will I sell the Vette??? Nope, I'm planning on being buried in it. Just prop me up, put one hand on the steering wheel, one hand on the shifter, leave my smile alone... and start tossing in the dirt.

When I was young I always dreamed of owning a Corvette, so I started off with the "poor mans Vette", a Camaro. I had a black 1999 Camaro, t-tops, leather, 15% window tint, it was niiiiiiice and the chicks loved it!
Well, some idiot hit me head on and totaled it, so I searched and searched for another Camaro but couldn't find one exactly how I wanted so I bought a truck, sold it six months later and then bought a 1998 pewter Corvette with targa top, in darn near showroom condition!
I love the car, the style, power and of course the looks and comments from other people but dang I just can't stop thinking about my old Camaro and I have been thinking loooong and hard about buying another one and selling my Vette..
My friends think I'm crazy for going from a Camaro to a Vette then back, but I reallllly loved that car. It was so "me". While I love the Corvette to, but it's just hard to explain.
Surely there are a few others who made the Camaro to Vette switch, do you guys ever think of going back??
Someone talk some sense into me!
Lifes short dude, do what makes you happy. Realize this is Corvetteforum so of course many members will look at you like your taking a step backwards but if the Z28 is what makes you happy then I say go for it!! I had a 99 Z28 and a 2001 WS6, I love the F-bodies and think they are great fun. Good luck
Way back when(late 60's)...my DD was a 67 camaro that started out as a factory 327 4 spd (changed many times after) for 11 years and probably 350,000 miles. I loved that car! A C5 is a different animal. Keep yours and go find a project Camaro...best of both worlds.

I can't believe that!! I almost bought that girls Vette, I took it for a test drive and made her an offer but she wouldn't take it so I ended up buying one in VA beach for 3K less and with 20,000 miles less as well!
That's funny though cause when I was clicking the link I was thinking about her and sure enough it is!!!
I've thought about buying another 99 Camaro in addition but I can't really afford to have two similiar sports cars right now, especially considering I'm gonna buy my brother's '06 GMC Sierra.. But yes, one day I'd love to own all three.. (I looove that Sierra too!)
I'm just unsure, I mean when I go outside and see the Vette, I think no way, but looking at pics of the Camaro, I do miss it..
