There really isn't a "right" way to use the PC. Since it doesn't generate a lot of heat you won't burn through the clearcoat. If you have swirls, use the orange pad with the IP. I use a 2"x2" "X" of polish on the pad. Start with a slow speed to spread it around a 2'x2' area. Then bump it on up to 5.5 or 6 (you need all the speed you can get because of the hard clear). It may take several passes over the same area to get the desired result. Once you've removed the swirls, step on down to the white pad and some FPII. Once again it may take several passes, but you'll get there eventually. Keep in mind that it will be impossible to completely remove all of the tiny scratches you've accumulated over the years. Black cars really show them, so you have to decide when it's good enough. Hopefully your car isn't as swirled as mine was (the swirls you see in the pictures were from a "professional" detailer from last year).

Very nice and especially on the black.

Wool seems to be the only way to make decent corrections on the Vette.

Here is my car when fellow member and friend gmblack3 worked it over with some wool.
