Default Towing w/serivce column steering lock message

We have a 99 coupe (A4) w/60K. December 2004 we had the GM recall work done on the "pull key, wait 10 sec" column steering problem. The GM dealer said the required work was done. Didn't have any problems until recently when we started getting the message again. After pulling the key it would always start no problems.
But today after the message came up, and we restarted it, the message kept coming up and the car would turn off. I managed to get it back into the garage (took 5 tries to get it back in).

I know I will have to have it towed to the GM dealer tomorrow but before I do that....am I going to have any issues getting it on a flat bed tow truck Can they back the truck up to the rear of the car and put the car in neutral and roll it out of the garage? I don't want to have any more problem than I already have messing something up getting it towed.

Thanks

my 2000 did the same thing after the GM installed 'fix'.

Before getting a tow truck, a thought that was not very appealing to me. I got on the forum here and found a member who told me to get under the driver's side dash, by removing the knee bolster, and remove the dealer installed "K-Harness" and plug the wires back together as they were originally installed by GM in the factory. I did this as instructed and the car started and ran fine, with no problems or codes.

I then ordered and installed when received a CLB from Thuder Racing, $45- and haven't had a column lock issue since, now over a year ago.

I just had the same thing happen to me, the relay went bad in the recall parts! I had to have mine towed and the tow truck driver scratched my car! Now he won't do anything about it! I wish I would have known I could have replaced the relay myself!
