Anybody Use Blistien Sport Shocks With L-kit. Just Got My Blistiens And Want To Lower. How Is The Ride And Handeling. Just How Low To Go?????. Thanks For Any Help. Have Kit To Lower Z.
Most people get Bilsteins BECAUSE they've lowered the car, so the ride will be better with the Bilsteins.
What kind of "lowering kit" did you get? Unless you got coil-overs, there's only a certain amount of lowering you can do (at least to the front).
With longer bolts in the rear, you can go super-low. With the front bolts, you can 1) lower the stock bolts to the max, 2) cut the front bolts, 3) or remove the front bolts altogether. You're just going to have to see how low is too low/not low enough for you.
When you do lower your car make sure you maintain the correct rake, meaning that your car should be at least 3/8"+ lower in the front than the rear for correct handling. It should be measured at the frame near the wheel centerlines. You could also just lay a level at the rocker panel and make sure it is tilting down towards the front.
