Anyone Know How To Correct This Code? Every So Often My Car Will Flag The "service Active Handling" For No Apparent Reason. Bad Ground? ****ty Connection? Any Help Would Be Cool.
its most likely something electrical. mine throws the service abs/active handling/tcs code sometimes when i roll the windows down. Weird. The lights dim right when it happens and also it does it at the exact same geographical location every time if i roll them down. so yes its probably a bad connection or the like. i beginning to think my wiring is just possessed.
Mine displayed the same message after doing donuts (in a controlled, legal environment ) .. I thought I'd broken something til I came home, searched the forums, and discovered I'd just pegged the yaw sensor. Cleared the code and no problems since.
Search the forum for "clear codes" or "display codes" ..
If it hadn't been for this forum, I would have gone to the dealer and been out at least a hundred bucks I'm sure.
As previously stated, the EBCM could be going bad. I did the research herein when it first started on my 2002 Z06 and now it is always on. I've ignored it for many weeks and to spite me the car now periodically tells me the ABS is also on the fritz. I hope I did not bring this on by installing a 150 AMP alternator to resolve "dimming" issues. I understand that replacing the EBCM via dealership can cost approximately $800.00 USD.
Since the AH/TC doesn't work I am now at the same disadvantage as the Viper drivers are when they drive their cars off the lot.
If that doesn't work, you might consider searching for "Stupid part that Chevrolet threw into the Corvette that isn't worth a sh*t that breaks on a HUGE number of our cars and costs a buttload to fix."
