I just had mine done.

$715 (i think?) for all the parts (LS7 flywheel, clutch, master cyl, slave cyl, pilot bearing) from gmpartshouse.

I had a really good Maserati/Audi mechanic install it for $700. It was his first clutch install on a Vette and he said it was a b!tch and he would never do one again. It works great so far. I'm still breaking it in.

$1400 is a pretty good kick in the pants though!

it really is not that bad to do , especially if you have access to a lift , drop sub-frame lower differintial some , slide it back new clutch and back everything goes , well maybe a little harder than that but not much takes about 4 -6 hrs . for us to do one on my buddies vette , and we are going to do it again in sept. since he got boost in his vette this year .

Ya, I've read alot of post saying the clutch install isn't very bad and the 15 hrs GM says it takes is not necessary. Thats why I was a little suprised at my mechanics reaction to the job. He is really good and does a lot of work for me and my friends. Maybe because it was his first C5 clutch install? Probably his last too.

it really is not that bad of job , actually i think we could do one in less time than that , just make sure you have the pilot bearing puller , it makes it a whole lot easier some guys have spent hours getting them out it took me less than 3 or 4 minutes to get it out .

Its really not that hard to do your self. I did mine on jack stands in less than a day. But I think speed inc has a fair price on install.
