Help this newbie! On the inside of my ZO6 wheels it says: 17/8.5, ET56, FA162 and F/R.
The 17/8.5 is the wheel size, I think the ET 56 is the offset, I think the FA 162 refers to the manufacturer? (so says my tire guy) and the F/R indicates that it is a right front wheel.
My tire guy also says that it appears to be a GMC wheel. I'm not so sure. I thought they all said either Speed line or Alcoa.
Aftermarket wheel manufacturers, at least some, have a bad reputation. Who made my ZO6 Wheels? This is important, because if I have sub-par wheels I want to know about it. This wheel is on my '04 coupe.
Well, since an OEM factory Z06 wheel never came in a 17x8.5" size, it would appear that you have an aftermarket wheel. It sounds like you're probably correct about the offset marking, but as to the others,
By the way, the '02+ wheels have "Speedline" cast into the backside of the spoke. On the '01 Alcoas, the backside is just stamped "GM".
