I just threw in a set of NGK TR55ix iridium plugs a couple of weeks ago and they honestly made a nice little difference in low end throttle response. I've also had good luck with the regular NGK TR55s in the past too. But I thought I'd try out the iridiums to see if I liked them, and I do! They should last a lot longer than the regular TR55s also.

Up here I got them at Canadian Tire, but I'm sure you'll have no problem finding them in the US at Pepboys or Autozone or AAP. If not, a few of the forum vendors will have them for sure.

Another vote for NGK.

I go with copper TR55 @ about $1.29 ea. Good for 40k miles, easy.

I found that the copper TR55s started slightly degrading after only about 15k. It was very slight, but I could notice a tiny little "bump" in the idle when my TR55s go to around 15k, and putting in fresh plugs smoothed out the idle perfectly. It was very slight, and probably didn't slow the car down in terms of horsepower loss, but even still it bothered me enough that I would change the plugs. I'm hoping the iridium plugs will at least double, if not triple the amount of time I can go before I begin to notice that slight change in idle quality.
