Pull key, wait 10sec....get screwed again!!!
Well I just got the vette back from the dealer after having the "Service Column Lock" problem "fixed" for the second time in two years. Brought it home yesterday...it worked fine. Went out to play golf this afternoon...guess what? It started again!!!!!! Same exact problem I had two days ago...nice job GM dealer!!!! I am so pissed!! I called the owner of the dealership and raised holy he_ _ with him. They paid to have it towed back today. We had plans to take the care on a road trip this weekend...looks like that's not going to happen.
Getting very frustrated.

Try cleaning the chip on your key with alcohol. If that does no good unhook the battery positive cable and let sit for 30 min. Should be good after that. It's happened to me -- I know your frustration.
