teaching others to wave?
You know the drill. you are driving along and another corvette comes up behind you and passes you. you wave but they don’t wave back. It bugs me. Yea I know it’s not a big deal and happens more with the C6 than any other version.
So this is what I did to teach a C6 to wave back.
I am cruising in the middle lane of a freeway and he passes me on the left with no wave so I let him go by and move over behind him and follow him for a few miles. Not to close. I don’t want him to think I am tail gating, just at a nice respectful distance.
He pulls into the middle lane getting ready to take the next exit so I bump it up a few MPH and pass him at a slow walk and wave again. Guess what? He waves back. He is talking on the cell phone so it must have been quite a trick.
Anyway I though I would share.

Don't take offense to this ,,, but what's with everyone always saying no other vette owner waves... so what,, it's not the end of the world. Maybe with all these physco's in the world today people do not want to make contact of any kind........... no worries, just enjoy the ride !

Don't take offense to this ,,, but what's with everyone always saying no other vette owner waves... so what,, it's not the end of the world. Maybe with all these physco's in the world today people do not want to make contact of any kind........... no worries, just enjoy the ride !
I could care less if someone waves or not.

Friend at work purchased a new vette recently so i explained to him about waving. He had no idea and was really relieved because he was getting a little concerned with all these guys in vettes waving at him

I'm so excited I almost peed myself!
Got 2 waves in one day! One from a C4 and one from a C6. Will wonders never cease!
Now if they hadn't waved, I think I'd of had to admit myself into therapy! I just hate it when that happens!

And you cant say that its just C6's either that dont wave. The other day I saw two Vettes, a C5 and a C6. They C5 did not wave back and the C6 did. There is also a C1 that I always wave to and he never waves back.

I'll wave and if they do, fine. If not, won't lose any sleep over it. Not everyone is into that custom. Still, GM should put a little history of the wave in the owners manual or on the video that comes with the car. Might help keep the tradition alive.
