Default A/C problems

Took the car to the shop AGAIN to have the a/c looked at...again. I am now told I need a new compressor, dryer, and everything. $1000 +.
Anyone know where I can buy new a/c parts cheap?

I bought one(rebuilt) for my Blazer on ebay from a place in Texas. I can research if you want.

Thanks for the response. I really don't want to go with a rebuilt compressor. I don't have very good luck, but thanks anyway.

Are you sure the AC parts are shot. Around here, 90% of the places will tell you that you need an $800 rebuild within 5 minutes - when many times it's just a slow leak and or you need a recharge. Make sure you get a second opinion -

I really don't trust most A/C repair places. Several years ago I took a car to one and was told that it needed a complete rebuild. Since it was an old car I declined. As a result, they only charged me for the system check and a lb of freon. As I left the shop I noticed that the A/C seemed to be working fine. It was still working fine 2 years later when I sold the car. Get a second or third opinion.
