Installed an Alpine iDA-X001
Big thank you to BillY2KFRC for posting his install with info. I went and did the same thing. Still getting to know this HU and need to learn all about my new iPod too. This car is the easiest car to do stuff to! Simple disassembly and loads of room in the dash.

The face plate is made by Mike Stanzel in his spare time though I don't think it took more than a couple of weeks to receive. michaelstanzel@comcast.net
Just send him an email and he sends out a stock form letter with the info needed. He makes a nice milled mount and a seperate face plate. If you do a search for an install here you will get a lot of good info.

With the soundgate GMCRV1 it was really easy to install. The sound production is very good with the factory speakers. I might upgrade. Just be advised, the speaker mounts will have to be replaced or modified because the speakers are an odd size. Mike makes mounts for a large variety of speakers as well.
