Roadster, ragtop, vert, convertible; this model has several nick names. Coupe could possibly be coupe, hatchback or targa top, and fixed roof coupe gets an acronym FRC.
One is no more special then the other, it's pretty much owner choice. My last two were coupes so this time I wanted a rag top.
Trunk opening is not as big as the opening of the coupe hatch, and therefore the coupe is more versatile as to what you can put in the cargo area.
I suppose, though I haven't checked, that the cost of a new hardcoated lens for the transparent roof panel is probably about as expensive to replace as the canvas convertible top.
This notion of using an acronym for the color, transmission and body style seemed to have become a fad or trend at the birth of C5 carried over to C6, where folks would say: I have a MYC5MN6 (Millenium Yellow 5th generation 6-speed) or BGC5A4Vert (Bowling Green...), LMBC6VertA4 (Lemans Blue). Or C6VRMN6 (Victory Red) and it just goes nuts from there.

Until I hit here it was a "Roadster" (which seems to be used on C2s more) NOW my car's body style has MANY "tags." This nomenclature shouldn't ruffle any one's feathers as it may be a way us "Vert People" address our cars as a way of identifying it's build style. But certainly not in a derogatory way of any kind. Can't we all get along?
Sometimes it is necessary to establish which body style is involved when asking questions.
Btw, I own a "Vert" and live on the left side of the tracks. Just don't park it there.
I own a vert and didn't know they called it a vert. I always called it a convertible. Vert is soooooo much shorter and cooler to say. Especially when it's a YELLOW VERT baby!!!!!!
