Default Rude Vette Owners

Having my vette for a few months now, I've ran across quite a few very friendly vette owners. Just about everyone I see has waved at me, and anytime I pull up next to one, we've chatted a bit.

Well today, I pull up to a tetco gas station to get gas. As I pull in, I see a red c5 there filling up, so I pull up to the pump behind him. As I stop the car, he looks over and I wave to say hello, and the guy totally ignores me and turns back around. So I get out of the car to pump my gas and the guy never says hello or anything at all... just turns around, gets in his car and takes off.

Thank God for all the other great and friendly vette owners around the area. My friend actually commented a while back about it. he said "wow, it's like a biker, how they always wave to other bikers.. it's the same thing with vette owners huh?"

That won't happen that much. I live in Dallas and always wave to Vettes from all generations. Also remember that sometimes people are talking or listening on their cell phone and you might not be able to tell because they have an ear piece.

No worries, sounds like a real ***** and a guy you probably don't want to hang-out with anyway. As mentioned above, you won't find to many folks like that, but I assure you that there are others out there.

There's a guy around here in a mag red C5 - and he absolutely never waves. But that's OK - cause he's obviously a jerk.

Maybe for certain people the C5 wave should be replaced with a C5 middle finger.

Why do most people on here have to get their panties in a wad if another Corvette owner doesnt wave back? Im starting to see this kind of thread as much as whats the best exhaust/tires to get. Not all Corvette owners are going to wave and they are not all Corvette enthusiasts either.

Sounds like he wasn't worth knowing anyway. There are lots of friendly Vette owners. Not to worry.

What I don't understand is those who get their PIAW as to others who want to (re) post threads......its no different than going on to TTT or BUMP one of your old threads.......can we all just agree that if a subject comes up (like waving!!!) more than once (or thrice....) that we will just leave it alone?
Sometimes the thread search can be a pain to get exactly the information you are looking for anyway..........I respond many times to those seeking CURRENT information on exhaust or tires...jeeze...live and let live. This forum is a GREAT place to be and to exchange information --- one of the best anywhere, so let's treat each other with respect.......

maybe people just want to relate their experience? I don't understand those who get their PIAW over what thread gets started.. if you don't like threads about this topic, why are you getting on here and reading them and replying? if you don't care for the topic, there is a "back" button on your browser.

It wasn't a thread about him simply not waving while driving down the road. that's ok, some do some don't,but he was standing literally 5 feet in front of my car when I waved to say hello. a decent person (vette owner or not) would at least acknowledge you, wave back or say hello.

Your energies would be better spent being concerned about your politicians having you bend over and grab your ankles. Instead you're worried about some stranger who didn't wave to you ? Unbelievable !

OK, You waved and the guy didn't wave back. NBD happens all the time
here in So. Calif. Sometimes I wave 5 times and never get a wave back
But, I will continue to wave anyway............
I would rather pull up to a light and have the cute blonde in the car next to me wave anyway

So the guy's rude for not waving at a complete stranger? Not everyone waves at eachother just because they have the same car
