I took my 2000 Vert for a drive at lunchg today. I turned the A/C on and had cold air blowing for the trip. I stopped at a store for 10 min and when I came back out and fired up my car and turned the A/C on again the light on the A/C button would only flash off and on and the air was blowing HOT. At one point when I turned the temp control **** the display showed 33 degrees. I pushed the off button, drove for about 10 min and pushed A/C again and all was working again. Any ideas what happened or what part is going bad? Thanks!
First place I'd look would be to check the ambient air temperature sensor located at the base of the radiator towards the front on the passenger side.
Years back mine went bad and my A/C started reading something like 33 or 39 degrees or whatever. With that readout the system thinks it's too cold outside to use the A/C and it won't work. That's why you're seeing the flashing light. When mine went out it was in the middle of the summer Turned out my connector pins at the sensor were corroded so I replaced both sides of the connection and all was well.

I get the blink all the time when it is to cold here in Vancouver. The AC light blink when the temp is 35F to 40F. Just as Cajun99 you may have a bad sensor.
