Has Anyone Experienced This Before, After Driving The Car For Acouple Of Hours, The Driver's Seat Refuses To Go Forward Or Back, But If The Car Sits Overnight It Works Perfectly Until Again I Drive The Car For A Couple Of Hours. This Occurs Only On The Driver's Seat......any Suggestions Woud Be Helpful...
The Car Is A One Owner 2000 Coupe, With Only 25,000 Miles..
never had that problem but your motor could be heating up in your seat .try not moving it back all the way in one position or the other and see if that helps.could be getting stuck and keeps running
Sorry, I meant power seat
the question is, has anyone experienced this problem before, what would cause a power seat to not operate after the car has been driven for a few hours, but after sitting overnight, it works fine........
the only logical answer so far, is either a short somewhere or the motor is over heating.........
Could be other reasons, but most motors have a thermal interlock to keep them from overheating. If the motor or switch that moves it sticks closed until it overheats, it may shut off until the temp drops low enough to close it back. You could also have a ground that is corroded, or a module that is intermittent and not sending the command. One day when you're riding and it quits, feel the motor and see if it feels hot. It could be hard to pin down. Please post if you find anything.
