Default Car Cover woes...

I am one of the unfortunate ones who does not have a garage for my vert.
Anyway, I did buy a high quality car cover (Wolf- Noah). When I take the cover off in the morning, I notice a "haze" on the car, especially the windows. The haze isn't wet, it's a white film (but not oily) As you can tell, I'm having a difficult time trying to describe it!

I've washed the cover, hoping it would remove whatever is causing this, but this did not help.
Has anyone else experienced this?

I've had that happen also with Noah material covers. I switched to a Covercraft Weathershield Cover, that's more of a windbreaker type material. It's still soft on the paint, and repells water almsot better than the Noah covers i've had. Plus it takes up less space when folded up. And it's blue, like my vette, another bonus!

Call the vendor from whom you bought the cover and ask them if they can give you the manufactuter's phone number. Call them to see what they say about it. I've been using Noah covers for over 6 years now and have not had that issue. In fact, the cover I am using currently is more than 3 years old and looks great. I am very happy with it.

It's possible that it's not the cover that's causing your issue -- it could be some polish, tire dressing, wax or something. Just a thought.

I have been using a Noah cover on 2 cars for many years now, both are Black and have never had any issue like that.

I've been using a Noah Cover for 3 years. No problems.

The idea that it is a polish or wax as the culprit may have some merit.

What time of the morning is it? Could be caused by the due settled on the cover causing it to be just a little damp.

Default me too

Hey Day,
I too just got a wolf-noah cover and just went thru some rainstorms and had a film left on the windshield as well but couldn't see one on the car. I don't know what the film is but I was able to clean it off with window cleaner and I quick detailed the car and it seems fine, if you find out what causes it let me know but for now I will just quick detail the car which I would do anyways after being under the cover for any length of time.

It doesn't seem to matter when in the morning it happens. Week days around 6:00am or weekends at 10:00 am... I still have the white film. This happens on dry or "dewey" mornings.
Hopefully, this will go away with time (as someone mentioned). Every morning I have to get the window cleaner out to get the white residue off...

We moved from HB to Corona about 7 years ago. Where a bouts do you live?
We would have sand in the kitchen and we were at Beach and Ellis. If you have a thin or porous cover it could be salt particulates. Maybe?

I have had my Wolf Noah cover for a year. I use it everyday (while car is parked at work) and being here in Southerna California, it has been subjected to hot temperatures. All I can say is that it has held up great and not left and residues on my car.

Same issue here. I bought it put it on and the next morning there was a white film, almost like a powder all over the vehicle. I havent used it since because i hate washing that stuff off. I was too lazy to return it andnow im stuck with it. I guess ill call the manufacturer and see if they have any ideas.

When I bought mine about three months ago I had the same problem! After time it went away. I hated it though. I was like what the h___. Buy a cover and still have to clean the Vette every time I took it off. I guess it's like a coating they put on. Maybe so mildew doesn't form before we get it? I thought I was the only one! Thought it was from cats or something when taken off the car. As it's inside out when taken off. Anyway good luck and hope it goes away soon for you!!
