Default PowerSlot Rotors Photo Request

I'm thinking of purchasing a set of Powerslot dimpled/slotted rotors from a vendor on this forum. I'd like to know if there is anyone out there that have purchased these, and if so, if you have had any rust or warp issues. These are for my '98 vert which is not run hard at all, these are mostly for looks. I researched rotors quite a bit and it seems that these may be the best for me. I'm also considering the Baer Eradispeed+'s or their Decelarotors. Any info on those would be appreciated as well. Thanks in advance to all who respond.

If anyone out there has these rotors on their car, and have had them on for awhile, please send me photos so I can see how the dimpled effect looks over time, and how the rust protection looks. Thanks!

Drilled/slotted rotors DO tend to warp easy in high heat conditions over stock rotors just so you know

I bought the PowerSlot Cryos because I grew tired of the dreaded pulsating rotor problem that occured every 6000 miles. They are by far the best rotors I have ever purchased and I've bought quite a few over the years, for various other vehicles. These things are top-notch when it comes to quality and are cad-plated, NOT zinc-washed like the less expensive rotors.
You shouldn't have to worry about dimples, since they do not create stress risers, as drilled-through holes do. Here's what I wrote a while back:

That's why I am considering the dimpled/slotted rotors.

As long as you are going for looks any of those rotors will do the job for you. I tried the dimpled and sloted Power slots for track days and they cracked at the area where the slot ends up on the outside radias of the rotor. Been using stock NAPA rotors ever since and am happy (for track use) I think even driving hard on the street you will not heat the rotors up enough to make any difference, so go with what you like to see.

Just bought a set and had them installed on my vette this week. I got the Powerslot Cryo rotors. I do a few road racing events a year and alot of hard high speed braking so I needed some good rotors that will hold up to my kind of driving. I'll keep everyone up to date to see how these hold up. They look great on the vette, I'll take some pics this weekend when I do a PA Poker Run and let you guys know how they hold up longterm.

Thanks...these are the rotors I'm looking to buy, so it's good to get feedback on products like this! I can't wait to get them!

I just installed dimpled/slotted rotors on mine about a month ago and so far they are real sweet! Make sure you bed them in properly after the install.

Took this pic this Sunday:

Got to finally beat on them after the 300 mile break in period was over, they performed flawlessly, they really bite into the pad. I love em!

I have had the same set of Slotted only Powerslots on my car for about 7 or 8 years. No problems with them at all. They have been through several HPDE and high speed stops at the strip. I have used Hawk HP street pads with them. I have had no problem with cracking or pulsating rotors.

At least when I purchased mine --- They are the stock rotor that has a slot cut into the disk of the rotor. Their manufacture nor their metalurgy superior to stock stock.

I believe they help with the pulsing pedal / supposedly warped rotor problem by keeping the pad surface fresh.

The warped rotor problem is usually (actually rarely) a warped rotor. It is caused by pad material build up on the rotor surface.

I had the POWER SLOT rotors (non-dimped-just slotted). They are a great rotor. I upgraded (so I thought) to the ACDELCO drilled/slotted rotors and I miss the POWER SLOT. They do the standard rust thing after you wash your car, but I had no issues with over rust outside of what I mentioned. I drove them for 30K miles and had no issues with warping and/or cracking. I sold them to another forum member and they still looked great.

I highly recommend the POWER SLOT rotor and will return to that when the ACDELCOs are done.
