I used a penny to make a cover for the door key hole! I mixed a small amount of resin and put enough on the coin to make a nice rounded shape, and then painted it the body color. On the back side I beveled the edge slightly for a better fit and then attached a small magnet with 3M double stick tape. I have used it for about four months and have been very satisfied with the look. What do you think of my cheapie mod?

Thanks for all the responses on my One Cent Mod. My wife doesn't understand it and says I have way too much time on my hands. But, Hey, we have fun doing anything we can with our Vettes.

I got the cheap version -- GM gave me the door handle, but not the key hole. They only gave me a key hole on the drivers side.

No key hole for the trunk either -- the cheap bastards.
