I'm thinking about having the duel, upside down "U" chrome roll bars installed in my 2002 convertable. I spoke with a guy up at BG at the C5-C6 bash in April and he said he could install them for about $400. BUT - I believe these would be bolted on. I would think that bolted on would not help in (God Forbide) a rollover occurrence. I would need these for the track also. What about roll bars welding to the frame - any suggestions or sources? I live in the Atlanta area. Thanks...TW
I think many tracks require a 6 point welded bar in Verts.
The hoops would not meet the requirement.
Many of the hoops are just glued in place....
For a non-stock corvette, the track will generally require a 5-point rollbar or a hard top (hard top is a track rule, not an NHRA/IHRA rule). Those hoops may afford you some protection, but do not meet the racing body standards.

SCCA allows for bolt in and hoop design also. Check out their website for specs it needs to be. You will need them custom fabbed, no premade $400 dress up kit is good for anything.
