What I want in racing shoe (straight line) is a very thin sole for improved pedal feel and a sole with good traction for grip of the pedals during aggressive movements. Suppleness for comfort is also a plus.
Those criteria came together in a pair of black Diesel sport flats, which I've drag raced in for six years and counting.

I don't know if any of you read Corvette Fever magazine, but they are doing a 6 piece article on his drag racing and launching techniques. He currently holds the record for a stock C6 Z06 in the 1/4 mile.
