I love my Pilotis because they have enough sole that I can walk around at events. I also have a pair of GForce that look like the Simpsons above, but you can feel every pebble you step on.
What I want in racing shoe (straight line) is a very thin sole for improved pedal feel and a sole with good traction for grip of the pedals during aggressive movements. Suppleness for comfort is also a plus.
Those criteria came together in a pair of black Diesel sport flats, which I've drag raced in for six years and counting.
So comfortable that I now have a couple sets that I wear for everyday. They work extremely well on the track.
I've got a pair of Piloti Prototipo's, which are the most comfortable shoes I've EVER owned. They are light weight and give just the right feel. I do not drive my Vette now wearing any other type of shoe! Highly recommended!! Go to www.piloti.com and check them out!

I have some Adidas, no longer offered but in size 14. I don't drive my Z06 without my driving shoes, as my normal street attire consists of size 14 combat boots.... which can make for very interesting driving.
A co-worker has Piloti shoes that he is happy with.
