Default Tire Pressure Monitors

Do I need to replace Them? I am getting a message every time I drive that the left front tire is flat. The tire reads 30 psi cold. They are now 6.5 yrs old as original. Thanks.

Do you still have run flats? If so then you need to check your tire and make sure its not flat. Usually if you need to replace your TPS then you will get a message saying "Service Tire Mon. Sys." or something alone those lines.

Have you checked your tire pressure? You will not see the tire get flat in run flats because of the exact reason they were designed for.

Sounds like you need to replace your tire sensors then.

I'm not sure which sensors the vettes use, but some are battery powered so I would think that after 6-7 years the battery may be dead, may be worth checking into as an alternative to buying a new sensor, assuming that the battery can be changed?

Sounds like the battery is shot. There are some who have changed the battery but it sounds a tad flakey to me.

You may want to go the whole hog and replace the set. The life is 5-7 years. Once one goes the rest will probably follow.

I dont think the batteries can be replaced.

To the OP, contact Gene Culley at www.gmpartshouse.com, he can probably get you the best deal on new sensors.

I wasn't sure about that and didn't have time to look it up, just didn't want to recommend a $100 fix if there was a $4 fix available!

Try to relearn the sensors. Procedure is in your owner's manual or you can do a search. You will need a magnet.
