Alright, im going to do my best to start documenting my upgrades... some of which are common, others are 1 of a kind.

Pictures will come in time, and be added to posts as I do the upgrades.

Heres what I started with...

The piping for the whole SC system was done poorly with heavy stainless steal with poor seals that leaked after i took the car up to 185+ a few times and shook things loose. This has all been re-done with high quality aluminum. Perfomance Theory Motorsports did it all. Nate took good care of me at unmatchable prices.

The pulley that was put on the car in colorado at 7000 feet was 3 inches, and made 12psi. The engine was built for 15. Going from 7000 to sea level makes way over 15psi on this 3 inch pulley. A larger pulley was put on the supercharger while down at sea level. The problem with supercharged cars is large altitude changes. We have come up with a solution. I found a valve that can bleed off exces air above 12psi. This actually serves many purposes. By putting on a pulley that makes 25psi at 7000 rpm, I can get to 12psi at 4000 rmp instead of waiting till 7000. The valve caps the boost at 12psi, and vents off extra boost. I make power sooner, and protect my engine. In the future, I may upgrade to an f1 procharger to be able to build boost even faster at even lower rpms. Im currently getting this valve system ready for marketing, and cant believe it doesnt exist on a supercharged car. These valves are very expensive, 800-300 dollars. Of course i went with the 300 dollar valve. It is an industrial product not created for cars, but works perfectly. The valve is fully adjustable for different psi vent off points.

The wheels put on by corvette connection arent my taste. I have 19" c6 black motorsports with a machined face. These are narrow, and also heavy compared to stock z06 wheels. I love the height and the look, but I need function, and need my car to hookup. I recently boguht a set of stock oem z06 wheels and tires which are very light. Ive heard that the back 18x10.5 inch wheels actually fit on the front. I may do this an get a 19x11 or 19x12 wheel in the rear from houseofwheels. I want to run toyo proxes ra1, nitto 555r2's or pilot sport cups. Whatever tire i choose needs to be as sticky as possible, but MUST be able to go 200 mph safely. I have a set of lingenfelter HRE wheels off my last vette that dont fit on this one bc i dont have the minitub. Im not sure I want to put them back on bc they are heavy, and I want a new style... but I keep thinking about making them black, keeping them, and minitubbing the car.

The car still had cats and stock z06 ti exhaust on it when i bought it, nice and quiet, how i like it. However... with my big f1r, and 245cc etp heads, the stock exhaust is literally going to explode due to pressure buildup. So i have the best of both worlds. I got some oval cutouts from DMH, and i got rid of my stock x pipe, and put the cutouts back under the trans. We added a head sheild that is welded onto the fuel slosh line guard that I added. This also makes the underneath of the car more aerodynamic. The cutouts have a manual switch, but automatically open at 3500 rpm, and close automatically at 3400. This keeps the blower and all the air a place to breath. This picked me up huge power gains considering how restricted the stock exhaust, heads, intake manifold were. More air + more fuel = more power. Car came with ceramic long tube headers... they have cracked here and there, but we keep patching them.

Im investigating carbon magnesium wheels from dymag that are on the new callaway vette. I have several calls into callaway and dymag trying to find out my options. In the meantime im going to run the stock z06 wheels probably. Im trying to shed unspring weight, and more important to me, centrifigal weight.

I want a brake upgrade. I annihilate stock z06 brakes when i slow down from 180+ runs that get obstacles in the way.

Im interested in the usuall contenders. 6 piston brembos, stop techs, and baers. I dont want a dilled rotor, probably only slotted to avoid cracking.

However, im gaining interest in these titanium ceramic coated rotors from red devil brakes. Warping and excessive heat seem to be a non issue. Interestingly, the break in calls for harsh high speed stops. Read more about it here:
http://www.reddevilbrakes.com/page/page/898389.htm
and
http://www.reddevilbrakes.com/page/page/884994.htm

***I ended up just going with some stoptech slotted rotors for now... its hard to fit upgraded brakes under the stock front wheels. Drilled rotors crack on us guys who slow down from 180+... you can see my 4 month old drilled and slotted rotors cracked everywhere after less than 5k miles put on them.

I took the hood off actually, picked up a matching used 02 z06 hood from a guy in PA, it was 280, and 320 for shipping. I put the red one in the crate the other came in. Im trying to go back to stock look, and also preserve a high dollar paint job for later when i... put the car in shows, or sell it to someone else. The red will be coming off the side soon also. I want my car to be a sleeper. (my plan is perfect until people notice is sounds like a jet engine bc of the supercharger )

the car is going to ultimately become a rolling 200mph camera studio. Technology is amazing, its the people who cant keep up.

Cameras are switching from dv tape to recording straight to hard drive. I im trying to figure out a way to have cameras, (at least 2 HD) that fire forward, backward, and one for inside the car for guages. My plan is to edit between these 3 footages, and create high quality HD edits of racing.

The system will be constructed so that a single button can be pressed, and all 3 cameras start recording at the same time. Hard drives set up in raid0 will be in the trunk, capable of capturing huge valumes of data. When I get home, ill be able to dump the footage to a hame based computer, and wipe the slate clean for more space to record fresh footage.

The quality of cameras I want to use will be the expensive part, therefor I dont plan on buying them, instead I will be renting them. My car will have braces, and permanent mounts for these cameras so that I can attach them. The wires will remain in place at all times.

Idealy, I will be able to gather footage of my car and other cars in action, and be a camera vehicle capable of keeping up.

***a buddy of mine just purchased the most expensive digitial camera in the world i guess... its called THE RED camera. It can make movie quality digital movies, 4xhd quality. He wants to use my car as a mule to get footage, and i might put some of my need for speed to good use, and help him make movies for hollywood. Ive also talked to him about just being the official camera car for gumball events and other high speed activities.

Either way, I plan on installing at least 2 compact hd cameras such as the one pictured below. One camera will be put BETWEEN the exhuast tips, in the middle, behind the diff... with a heat shield around it of course. The other will be put up in the left or right front corner of the car. Both will be on remote activate for recording. These cameras hold 8-20 hours of HD footage.

The trans is geared nice and high, so i dont have to shift as often, and I still have plenty of power to spin the wheels. I plan on having RPM trans replace 5th and 6th gear with stronger wider gears. Right now my 4th gear gets me somewhere around 160mph with my 2.73 rear ratio. 5th gets me over 200, and 6th is useless. RPM is going to chryo the gears, and put in a 5th that gets to 185 mph, and a 6th that gets to 220, if i ever have the power/***** to get there. This focuses the engines peak power into my 160-220 mph range, allowing me to climb qucker than the single 5th gear.

***I ended up finding a trans and rear end that were COMPLETELY BUILT with all chryo treated and micropolished UNITRAX gears and micropolished shafts. Upgraded keys, carbon fiver, synchros, etc. The rear end came complete with the dte hardened output shafts on both sides. I sold my old z06 trans and put it in a rubbermade tub and shipped it to cali, and got a built c5 trans from orange county trans in cali who completely built this trans with every possible upgrade. My new setup has the higher gearing of the stock vette trans, but the lower rear end gearing of 3.15, so it comes out to be the same as before almost as before. I still have the TALL 2.73 rear diff for sale if anyone wants it.

The car can drink gas at full throttle with its 60lb low impedance injectors. Therefore, im investigating creating an extra fuel tank in the trunk that will trickle down into the stock tanks. This would be a no brainer for me, except Im worried about safety of having a gas tank INSIDE THE CAR! Fumes may be an uncurable problem, and safety in a crash is on the low side.

Reason for extra fuel is for gumball and cannonball runs around the US. Going 200mph is pointless when you have to stop and fill up all the time.

*** I ended up going with 1000cc/96lb low impedance injectors. I have upgraded high flow fuel rails. I dont have the extra fuel tank yet, but if i did, i think i would put it above the beam in the *** end of the car, right behind the tail lights. Disadvantage is top heavy weight added... thus im waiting.

before I do anymore engine upgrades, I need to upgrade my fuel system. Currently I have a kenne bell boostapump. I need a return fuel line system.

***the old fuel system was a joke, after driving for about a half hour, the car would go lean... this is because the fuel pumps would heat up and cavitate. I invented my own fuel system... i use DUAL tt supra denso pumps in BOTH tanks. This supplies over 1000hp worth of fuel. I have dual braied lines going up, passing through custom fuel coolers that are mounted in the left nose of the car, and then up to the upgraded rails, 1000cc injectors, and back through a 2000hp capable aeromotive regulator set to 45 psi and is boost relative, and then back another an-10 line that comes back through ANOTHER fuel cooler, and is then split beween the 2 tanks. The 2 tanks are now connected with a slosh line located at bottom tank level, that keeps the 2 tanks at equal fuel level. We fabbed up a custom guard that protects the braided slosh line from debris from the road to prevent leaks or breakage.

Im putting a slight tint on the windows. I also want to upgrade the stereo, but I am waiting because I have a few computer guru's who are trying to come up with a "touch screen computer" for the dash that can control things instead of crude switches. There are already products out there that do a lot of what i want them to do, so we figure just build the car, and do the electronics last. This would be more for show and bragging rights, persoanlly im all about functionality. The only switch I have as of yet is the primer/on/off switch for the water/alc injection.

Im debating putting on some sort of rear spoiler lip on the back of the car. I need more input on true functionality. Ive also been advised that I am playing russian roulette without any sort of rear-under-car air difusion for running 200mph. Perhaps ive been lucky in the past? All advice welcome. Id love to have some sort of vertical slats under the car like on the ferrari 360, and 599gtb. Anyone make something like that? Or do I have to fab that too?

So exactly WHERE are you going to do 200 MPH and take those great pictures? Hopefully on the track........I see this vision on you-tube of a wrecked Corvette that is unrecognizable.....but the three cameras captured every nuance of the kinetic energy expended when the Corvette came upon an irregularity of some kind at 286 feet per second.....nearly a football field before your foot even comes off of the gas and THINKs about applying the brakes..........two football fields before you even begin to slow down.......three to four football fields before you come to a stop.........

if you are talking about doing this on the street, this thread needs to be shut down.......
