Blinking reverse lights.

Blinking reverse lights.
I noticed my reverse lights came on for a split second 3 or 4 times in a row tonight, about a minute apart. I was standing behind my car chatting with my cousin tonight when I thought I noticed a flash, I just figured it was lightning in the distance, then about a minute later we both noticed the reverse lights come on real quick. It later did this 2 more times. It was locked this whole time. I unlocked it with the fob at this point and left.
Might be of importance to note that when I got there my fob wouldn't lock my car from the outside at all. None of it worked, lock, unlock, trunk, nothing. I got in the car and quickly retrained the fob with the DIC. I got out and it worked fine. I locked it and went inside. It was a couple hours later when we came out to leave it was doing the flashing thing.
Anybody ever hear of anything like this before?

The reversing lights come on with the approach function when you unlock the car on the fob.
Try turning the approach function off (in Options) and see if the problem goes away. At least that way you've isolated where the snag is.

the approach function is off, first thing I thought of too, as for the battery I think I will change it, range is really low lately and it's had to be reprogrammed a couple times, and I only have one fob. I'm kind of worried now about leaving it parked and having the reverse lights randomly blinking at people lol, at least at home I don't have to arm it. It's a little disconcerting to see it's a "new one" though
