Default Almost GonZ06

When my wife and I bought our Z06, the salesman mentioned the Corvette Forum. One of
the first things I did was read as much as I could on this site. Since then, the
opinions and examples that I found here have been very helpful. This has been a good
source of reliable information. Our salesman said that white might be discontinued
but, we didn't know that ours would be 1 of 137 Speedway White with Torch Red interior
until I read it here. That makes it even harder to let go.

Because I have seen the kind of wet road contaminates that can coat every inch of a
motorcycle, I could never bring myself to drive our Z in the rain. This, and lack of
free time, has limited our enjoyment to short trips in fair weather, total 12,327 miles.
If we don't sell the car, I will still keep it in the same almost pristine condition
but, I can't see keeping it just for the sake of having it. It needs to be driven to
be enjoyed. I'm hoping that my decision is made easier by someone who will take care
of it the way we have. If the process goes badly, I might hold on a little longer.

A parting shot:

Thanks moderators and members.

What a beautiful Z06 . I looked for a while, for a SpeedWay White Z06 before finally buying my Black 01. My preference then and now is still for this particlar color as it really sets off the body lines of the Z06.

I gave up my search after 7 months because I was able to get a "Deal I couldn't refuse" on mine. My last Corvette was a Red/Red93 ZR1. While I miss it, I totally enjoy my 01. Enjoy it while you have it.

Yes, later today 07/01/07, on a site to remain nameless. If I have problems, I'll gladly post it on this site in the discussion; C5 Corvettes, 1994-2004 under C5 Corvettes For Sale.

I read somewhere on this forum that, due to ongoing problems registered by users of the "nameless site", Corvette Forum did not want to appear to support or endorse said site. I believe that the discussion "C5 Corvettes for sale" was set up to give forum members the opportunity to sell items without cluttering general discussions. I was trying to avoid a recommendation or endorsment of any such site while thanking the moderators and members of the Corvette Forum for the wealth of information found here (my shameless plug intended).

Sounds like it must be listed on "that auction site"?

Anyway, glad you enjoyed your Z06...and best wishes to find it a great new home.

I don't think you'll have any problems selling a SW '01. I'm assuming you meant mod red interior, not torch red.

I don't get it. Forget the name of the site......you can't mention price? If not, why the post?

I tend to agree with some of the other posts, it's hard to figure out what you want to do.

If you want to sell your Z06 then list it here with all the pertinent information; Year, miles, mods, location, price, etc...

Default To all confused

The original reason for the post was thanks to Corvette Forum (with plug). I wanted to respond to questions without promoting any other site or going overboard with details in this discussion. An auction format will determine the value that others would place on this item of limited supply and relieve me of that task. If I eventually list the car on this site, it will be in the discussion created for that purpose, "C5 Corvettes For Sale", and will include details and price. I hope this helps. :o

I will hold to my cryptic ways and not actually say the number myself. I am comfortable using the Kelly Blue Book retail figure, for a 2001 Z06 with 12,327 miles in excellent condition in the Strafford NH 03884 area, to go by. This doesn't distinguish color, limited supply, or almost pristine condition. It is a price I would be willing to pay if I knew everything about the car and something about the person who kept it that way. NO

I would be happy to know the next owner.

Rod
