Head Light Cover Misalignment
I looked at a 98 today that I am VERY interested in purchasing. The only thing I saw that didn’t look right was the driver’s side head light cover was misaligned enough I noticed. All the other gaps on the car look very uniform and symmetrical. What would cause this to happen? Is this a typical? The dealer didn’t think it was in a collision.

Its adjustable
There are 2 torx screws on the back and one on each side. These give an adjustment within the space. There are also white plastic clips where the screws go that are also adjustable. These give some up and down adjustment.
I'd say you'd be able to fix it just fine

DeeGee is correct.. it's a pretty easy fix, just a little fiddling to get it right. I'd check around it real close to make sure there is no damage but the guy could have simply taken it off to replace a bulb or something if they didn't know what they were doing or if they DIDN'T HAVE ACCESS to the CORVETTE FORUM!!
Check it out.. no biggie really.. unless you find damage.
