However, we looked at 4 manufactures, and these are by far the best product out there IMHO.
We try to keep a delicate balance of products that are great deals, and those that are just so much better, that they are worth the money.

Its an excellent product if you drive with a passenger often or freeway drive and want to hear your stereo.
Also, good at night when it gets cool. You can truly extend your top down driving experience in comfort; cold temperature, top down, heat on. Works like a champ!
To address the painting part. I just disassembled mine a couple of days ago. You do it by removing two phillips screws and gently pulling the lower bar from the poly carbonate windscreen.
Anyway, I don't see why it wouldn't be totally easy to paint the frame any color you want, or have it painted.
My vette is MY so the black frame makes a good contrast and goes perfectly with the black interior so I've left mine alone.
Yep, its expensive but really well worth it if you travel much with a passenger that gets chilled easily or doesn't like their hair flying all over the place or, wants to talk while driving on the freeway. Otherwise, its more probably not.
I use mine on and off all the time; especially at night when it cools down. If you keep your top down it only takes about 5 seconds to put it in place or about 2 seconds to remove it. It's really easy!
What I like about it best of all, the top frame barely extends above or is equal to the height of the top of the seat backs so, it really isn't obtrusive.
The ONLY downside IMO is, the polycarbonate material scratches real easy. I use a water and a microfiber cloth soaked in water but you'll still end up with a few hairline scratches hear and there.
On the other hand, I've only washed it twice in two years.

I saw a picture of a lady's (iflex2_fitness)Vette on here one day and it had the seat hoops and a polycarbonate "vette net" device she had made herself. There is no unsightly frame around the poly/carb.
The polycarbonate part was attached to the seat hoops with black velcro straps which appeared to be riveted to the poly/carb.
It looked great and had the added advantage of being much more user friendly in that it could remain in place even when you put the top up.
I am considering buying hoops for my '02 M.Y. roadster so I can make my own "Vette Net" style device as I think her idea is the best I have yet to see on here.
Chip, you may want to start producing/selling the above described devices as I am sure there are thousands of roadsters out there who already have hoops and would readily buy a poly/carb vette net without the frame that was more user friendly. You could even come up with a combo kit that had the hoops and the frame-less Vette Net.

I spoke to Heather on Tuesday and they are making another run of LMB for the C6.
Here is my understanding...
They did not know tht NBM, which they could not match, had progressed into LMB for the C5.
They are going to do a run of LMB for the C5
It will be a full production run, so it will go all the way back to the extruded metal, (they are not going to just paint up some black frames Blue) so it will be 8 to 12 weeks, but it is coming
