I was on my way home and was getting on the interstate. As I got on I was stuck behind a slow moving semi so when the next lane opened up I got over and punched it to get up to speed. I was cruising along at about 65 when I looked in my rearview and saw a trooper right on my ***. I thought for sure I was getting a ticket. I got over and instead of following me he pulled up beside me and pointed at the front of my car. He then cupped his hand to his ear. I threw him a quick rev and he gave me a thumbs up and pulled away. This was by far the coolest police officer I have ever encountered.
Once I was doing a high G entrance ramp maneuver and entered the highway doing about 75 (speed limit was 65) and when I steadied up in my lane I was right next to a un-marked CT state trooper!!!
He just turned his head and looked at me> If there was a little cartoon bubble over his head it would have said: "Ok tough guy,,,what are you going to do now????? ) I just let out of it and drifted back into the flow of traffic. WHEWWWWWWWWWWWW! He just shook his head and kept on going! He was cool too!
Great to hear nice words about LEO. They are just doing the job. I am not a LEO. If I get stopped for a ticket, I will be unhappy, but my time for a ticket is coming up--40 years of driving, no problems.
Got stopped several times in past 10 years. No warnings, no tickets. Respect LEOs; be honest; admit wrongdoing (well maybe; but don't lie); people are people. Confucius once say: Treat me right, and I will treat you right.

And it took how long for your pulse to return to normal?
almost same thing happened to a buddy and me when we were cruisin to meet up for a caravan to bowling green this year. We are cruising along at 15 above trying to make it in time and out of no where this cruiser comes up behind me and is slowly creeping up. As he finally begins to pass me, he looks at me, I give him a nod and he gives me a thumbs up and he continues and passed up the other vette in front of me and I gave a big sigh of relief.
