Coming back from a week in the Colorado Springs area, when all of a sudden I find myself being passed by 4 really nice looking Vettes in Western Nebraska.
I kicked up the cruise speed a notch or two and fell in behind, making it four good looking Vettes and one ordinary looking Vette, heading Eastbound and down at 82 mph.
Don't know where they were coming from and not sure where they were heading, but for the next couple hundred miles or so, I found myself in rather cool company. The blue vert with the white top which I was behind had a plate which said "Get Vet".
Absolutely beautiful machines, all of them, but that one in front of me was simply awesome. It was a much lighter blue than what I usually see on a Corvette.....more like the "Astro Blue" of mid 60's vintage....looked really good with that white top.
We all exchanged waves and smiles as they pulled off into a rest area just outside Lincoln. And once again, I was alone on the interstate, with no other Vettes in sight. Nice bunch of fellas, they seemed.
Thinking back now, I realized I probably shoulda stopped and visited with them for a spell. After 10 hours on the road, I probably could've used a break.
Nothing special,....just felt like sharing that moment with y'all

Hey, a day on the interstate of Nebraska is ALWAYS special!!
Did they have Nebraska plates?
We saw four of them at the Dairy Queen last Friday night, a rarity for sure... We even had ours out for once!!
Lots of cool stuff in Nebraska...
Yep, all four had Nebraska plates. Really sharp looking Vettes....kept a pretty tight formation all the way. It was late in the afternoon, so I figure they are from the Lincoln/Omaha area and were heading home.
Like I said, the plate on the one I was following was "Get Vet". I don't know if any of them are Corvette Forum members or not, but they certainly should be.
I had a similar thing happen to me on the way back from A&A Corvette. Four vettes cruising down the road together. One was a red Z06 (leader), then a Black C5 Coupe, then me in my C5, then another guy, in a C5 Coupe. Was pretty cool, the first black c5 pulled off first then, about 25 minutes later I did, None of us were together in a group going to the same place we just decided to cruise together and have some fun.
There was a CorvetteActionCenter get together last week in Colorado Springs. Perhaps 50 vettes or so from all over including me from Napa, CA. Did the blue vert/white top have Nebraska plates or Tennesee? If Tennesee he was at the event paired with a black C4 from same state.
