Default A4 Drivers-Do you use one foot or two?

Just curious, do you use your left foot to brake or pivot your right foot from accelerator to brake pedal? I use right foot for both and my brother brakes with his left foot.

Using two feet can be dangerous if you need to slam on the breaks you could push both the gas and the breaks and the outcome could be bad

Right foot only, I laugh when a car in front of me pulls off with the brake lights still on, dead give away of a two foot driver.

There are plenty of minivan drivers that would defend the two-foot method.

RIGHT FOOT ONLY!!! It really annoys me when people ride the brake with their "other" foot as you can never see when they're really braking and you stand the chance of rear ending them if you don't have your wits about you and read the traffic in front of them

This method is usually reserved for people in their 80's and above plus mini-van drivers

DON'T DO IT!

I took a racing class about 10 years ago. The hardest thing to learn was the foot work. Heal and toe down shifts and setting the car with a left foot brake application.

There are definatly times when you drag the brake to set the car while you are on or about to be on the gas

Ever since, I left foot brake in autos...and sometimes in my MN6 too...

Peace
Chip

Either two feet or one foot. I don't care. I spent years as a garage mechanic and jockeying automatic cars inside the garages in tight confines needed two feet. I probably do more two foot driving but as it's seamless for me I don't ever notice whether I'm doing it or not and the other poster's "Using two feet can be dangerous" and "car in front of me pulls off with the brake lights still on" doesn't apply. I've been doing it for 43 years and it hasn't been "dangerous" yet.

2 FEET Always !! Live in Florida for a week and you would understand ...
1 foot for gassing it out of the peoples way and 1 foot for hard braking when the 98 yr old pulls out and crosses 4 lanes into traffic.
It's like a slalom course here... Need to have the best reaction here.

Maybe you've just never seen the carnage left in your wake.
